Summary:
Our client requires a Safety, Health and Environment Superintendent. All qualified candidates will be considered but the subscribers to The Asian Report will be given top priority and only then will we go to our database to fill the positions.
Description:
This position will be responsible for the implementation and management of the corporate Health, Safety and Environmental Program.
The candidate will ensure that the corporate Safety , Health, & Environmental standards are applied to all personnel, contractors and sub-contractors.
The Safety, Health and Environment Superintendent has responsibility for the Safety Department, the Environmental Department and the Medical Group.
This is the lead position responsible for job execution and overall performance.
Proficient in English, both oral and written.
An individual who is computer literate and who posses good communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications/Experience:
University degree or a certified Safety Professional Certification.
Minimum of 15 years of experience of which at least 7 years should have been spent in management of safety and or, environmental operations.
Formal safety management training.
Knowledge of industrial safety and environment protection.
Experience on overseas projects, particularly in China, is highly desirable.
Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing and solving problems.
Technical knowledge of engineering and construction techniques.
